Hardware Requirements for Installation

DrillWizard requires one of the following operating environments for the hardware:

  • Windows 95®

  • Windows 98®

  • Windows ME®

  • Windows NT®

  • Windows 2000®

DrillWizard requires a maximum of 30 Megabytes of free space for the installation.

DrillWizard also requires an already established TCP/IP link to the drills in order to communicate. The link can be in the form of the following connections:

  • Local wireless network

  • Dial up network over a serial cable

  • Other infrastructure that provides TCP/IP communication

Software Requirements for Installation

DrillWizard does not require any other software to be installed.

Requirements for Database

DrillWizard does not require any databases.

Installation Procedure

Refer to Step 1 through Step 8 in order to perform a successful installation.

  1. Run the setup.exe file that is in the package for setup. Refer to Illustration 1.

  1. If you receive a notice regarding updating files in the setup, click "OK". Refer to Illustration 2.

  1. If you receive a notice regarding restarting the computer, click "Yes". Refer to Illustration 3.

  1. If you have restarted the computer, run the setup.exe file again. Refer to Illustration 4.

    NOTICE

    Loss of data may occur if other software applications are open during installation.


  1. The Setup program will display a "Welcome" message. Click on "OK". Refer to Illustration 5.

  1. In order to begin the installation, click on the icon (1) .

  1. The Setup program will display a message of "Choose Program Group". Click "Continue". Refer to Illustration 7.

  1. The Setup program will display "DrillWizard 1.0.1 Setup was completed successfully.". Click "OK". Refer to Illustration 8.
