Blade Control Lever Can Be Repositioned To Improve Operator Comfort And Linkage Life{5051,5063,5600}

Usage:

CS/CP-323 ( 6JD ) Compactors

Blade control lever position can be improved by remounting the blade control valve group at an angle that is more in line with the natural arm movement of the operator. The current position of the blade control lever is in line with machine movement (straight forward and backward). Operator discomfort and linkage failure of the blade control valve has occurred because the natural arm movement of the operator is to pull the control lever back at an angle toward his body rather than straight back.

To reposition the blade control valve, use the following procedure.

1. Remove the blade control valve from the mounting bracket.

2. Drill three 8.0 mm (.31") diameter holes at the locations shown in Illustration 1.

3. Reinstall the blade control valve.

NOTE: If the current 779648 S-hook Linkage has failed, it may be replaced by heavy-duty 7R4755 S-hook Linkage.
