Removal Procedure

Start By:

1. Release the system pressure (release). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "System Pressure - Release".

Personal injury can result from hydraulic oil pressure and hot oil. Hydraulic oil pressure can remain in the hydraulic system after the engine has been stopped. Serious injury can be caused if this pressure is not released before any service is done on the hydraulic system. Make sure all of the attachments have been lowered to the ground, and the oil is cool before removing any components or lines. Remove the oil filler cap only when the engine is stopped, and the filler cap is cool enough to touch with your bare hand.

1. Remove the two bolts and two clamps (3) .

2. Loosen the two clamps and remove tube assembly (1) .

3. Disconnect harness assembly (5) and hose assemblies (4) from the gear motor.

4. Remove the bolts and fan assembly (2). The weight of fan assembly (2) is approximately 16 kg (35 lb).

5. Remove bolts (6) and fan (7) .

6. Remove the bolts, the washers, and gear motor (8) .

Installation Procedure

1. Install gear motor (8) in the reverse order of removal.

   1. Tighten bolts (6) to a torque of 28 ± 7 N·m (21 ± 5 lb ft) in a cross section pattern twice after initial tightening.

   2. Tighten the bolts securing fan assembly (2) to a torque of 30 ± 7 N·m (22 ± 5 lb ft).
