Removal Procedure

1. Open the engine enclosure.

2. Open the left engine access door. Turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position.

3. Disconnect negative cable assemblies (1) from batteries (3) .

4. Disconnect positive cable assemblies (2) from batteries (3) .

5. Remove three nuts (5) and bracket (4) .

Installation Procedure

1. Install batteries (3) in the reverse order of removal.

   1. Tighten nuts (5) to a torque of 8 ± 1 N·m (70.8 ± 8.9 lb in).

   2. Tighten positive cable assemblies (2) and negative cable assemblies (1) to a torque of 7.2 ± 1.6 N·m (63.73 ± 14.16 lb in).
