EMCPll+ Software Not Compatible With Certain G3400 Engines{4490} Caterpillar

Introduction

The problem that is identified below does not have a known solution. Until a permanent solution is known, use the solution that is identified below.

Problem

While the engine is running with an EMCPll+ (194-0807_02), the fault alarm indicator will be active generating code "AL 14 Phase A No Voltage Input Fault".

Without a generator to produce voltage, the alarm will be triggered and the display function cannot be turned off in the display panel.

Solution

Install an inverter with a range of 24VAC to 110VAC inside the panel. The inverter will supply the needed voltage to eliminate the code stated previously.

EMCPll+ (194-0807_02) has been removed from the Petroleum price list.
