Height of liner over top plate, under installation pressure ... .0048 ± .0028 in.(0.122 ± 0.071 mm)
Maximum permissible difference between height of one liner and height of liners next to it ... .002 in.(0.05 mm)
(2) Torque for studs for housing of fuel injection pumps ... 20 ± 3 lb. ft.(25 ± 4 N·m)
(3) Torque for plug ... 130 ± 15 lb. ft.(177 ± 20 N·m)
(4) Bore in block for main bearing ... 4.8855 ± .0005 in.(124.092 ± 0.013 mm)
NOTE: Clearance between the side of main bearing caps and cylinder block... .0010 in. (0.025 mm) tight to .0014 in. (0.036 mm) loose
(5) Diameter of bearing bore after assembly ... 2.0015 ± .0019 in.(50.838 ± 0.048 mm)
NOTE: Oil hole in bearing must be in alignment with oil hole in block.
(6) Torque for nuts holding caps for main bearings:
a. Put crankcase oil on threads and washer.
b. Tighten all nuts to ... 75 ± 5 lb. ft.(100 ± 7 N·m)
c. Put a mark on each nut and end of studs.
d. Tighten each nut from mark ... 120°
(7) Torque for studs for main bearing caps ... 190 ± 15 lb. ft.(260 ± 20 N·m)
(8) Dimension (new) from centerline of crankshaft bearing bore to top of block (top deck) ... 17.9780 ± .0045 in.(456.641 ± 0.114 mm)
(9) Dimension (new) from centerline of crankshaft bearing bore to bottom of block (pan rails) ... 6.700 ± .004 in.(170.18 ± 0.10 mm)
