During a STICK OUT operation, the oil delivery from main pump (18) flows into main control valve (2) and flows to stick control valve (7).

Main pump (18) also supplies pilot pressure oil to hydraulic lockout solenoid (16). Hydraulic lockout solenoid (16) is activated when the left console is lowered. This action allows pilot pressure oil to flow to stick retract solenoid (4) and stick extend solenoid (5).

When the joystick for the stick is moved to the full STICK OUT position, the pilot oil flows from stick extend solenoid (5) to stick control valve (7). The pilot oil flow shifts stick control valve (7) for STICK OUT operation. The oil delivery from main pump (18) then flows through passage (6), through line (8) to the head end of stick cylinder (3).

Oil also flow through line (10) to stick lowering control valve (11). When supply oil enters the lowering control valve through line (10), pilot operated relief valve (13) shifts to allow oil to return from the rod end of stick cylinder (3).

Return oil from the rod end of stick cylinder (3) flows through relief valve (13) and through line (9) to stick control valve (7). The oil then flows through main control valve (3) and back to hydraulic tank (17).

During a STICK in operation, the oil delivery from main pump (18) flows into main control valve (2) and flows to stick control valve (7).

When the joystick for the stick is moved to the full STICK in position, the pilot oil flows from stick retract solenoid (4) to stick control valve (7). The pilot oil flow shifts stick control valve (7) for STICK in operation. The oil delivery from main pump (18) then flows through line (9), through relief valve (13) to the rod end of stick cylinder (3).

Return oil from the head end of stick cylinder (3) flows through line (8) to stick control valve (7). The oil then flows through main control valve (3) and back to hydraulic tank (17).
