-     Before assembly lubricate the piston rings and lubricate the ring grooves with clean engine oil. After assembly, lubricate the mating surfaces of the rings to the cylinder liner with clean engine oil.    
1     1     4P-2656 Piston Ring     Install the top piston ring with the side marked "UP-1" toward the top of the piston. The red stripe faces to the right of the end gaps of the piston ring.    
Width of groove in new piston for the top piston ring is
3.230 ± 0.010 mm (0.1272 ± 0.0004 inch).
Thickness of new top piston ring is
3.135 ± 0.015 mm (0.1234 ± 0.0006 inch).
When the new top piston ring is installed in a cylinder liner with a bore size of
120.65 mm (4.750 inch), the clearance between the ends of the piston ring is
0.62 ± 0.19 mm (0.024 ± 0.007 inch).
2     1     110-8722 Piston Ring     Install the intermediate piston ring with the side marked "UP-2" toward the top of the piston. The green stripe faces to the right of the end gaps of the piston ring.    
Width of groove in piston for new piston is
2.455 ± 0.010 mm (0.0967 ± 0.0004 inch).
Thickness of new intermediate piston ring is
2.360 ± 0.015 mm (0.0929 ± 0.0006 inch).
When the new intermediate piston ring is installed in a cylinder liner with a bore size of
120.65 mm (4.750 inch), the clearance between the ends of the piston ring is
0.62 ± 0.19 mm (0.024 ± 0.007 inch).
3     1     4P-2658 Piston Ring     After the piston rings have been installed, rotate the piston rings so that the end gaps are 120 degrees from each other.    
Width of groove in piston for new piston ring is
4.030 ± 0.010 mm (0.1587 ± 0.0004 inch).
Thickness oil Control piston ring is
3.983 ± 0.007 mm (0.1568 ± 0.0003 inch).
When the new oil control piston ring is installed in a cylinder liner with a bore size of
120.65 mm (4.7500 inch), the clearance between the ends of the piston ring is
0.57 ± 0.19 mm (0.022 ± 0.007 inch).

7N-9804 Piston Pin     Before assembly, lubricate the piston pin, the piston pin bore, the connecting rod eye, and the connecting rod pin bearing with clean engine oil.    
Outside diameter is
38.108 ± 0.005 mm (1.5003 ± 0.0002 inch).
Length is
94.74 ± 0.13 mm (3.730 ± 0.005 inch).
Bore diameter for piston pin is
38.128 ± 0.005 mm (1.5011 ± 0.0002 inch).
5     2     9H-4015 Pin Retainer     Thickness is
2.286 ± 0.013 mm (0.0900 ± 0.0005 inch).
