如图 1 所示，风扇泵 (1) 是安装在主液压泵上的活塞泵。 风扇泵接收来自主泵吸入管路的机油。 泵输出压力受旋转斜盘角度的控制。 旋转斜盘角度由 ECM 控制。 脉冲宽度调制（PWM）信号用于控制泵。 当油温和水温升高时，将会向 ECM 发送信号。 该信号促使 ECM 向泵发送作为信号的电流脉冲。 较高的水和机油温度造成更多的电流发送至泵控制器。 较大的电流使泵增加流量。 较多的流量使风扇马达转速增加，这会以较高的速率冷却散热器和机油冷却器。
