Assembly Procedure

Note: Clean all parts and inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new Caterpillar parts for replacement.

1. Install spacer (14) and spring (13) into valve assembly (4) .

2. Install O-ring seal (12) onto cover (11). Position cover (11) onto valve assembly (4) and install two bolts (10) .

3. Install O-ring seal (9) onto spool (5). Install guide (8), spring (7), spool (6) and spool (5) into valve assembly (4) .

4. Install O-ring seal (3) onto cover (2). Position cover (2) onto valve assembly (4) and install two bolts (1) .

End By: Install the selector valve. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Selector Valve (Torque Converter Lockup Clutch) - Install". The information is in this manual.
