Hydraulic Rotator Cycle Time - Check

Usage:

VRG-20/2 CZC

  • Move the host machine with the work tool to a smooth level location.

    1. Turn off the engine of the host machine and activate the parking brake.

    1. Conduct a good visual inspection of all hoses, fittings, and components. If any leaks or damage is observed, repair the problem before you attempt this check.

    1. Start the host machine and operate the implements until the hydraulic oil reaches normal operating temperature.

Note: The host machine must be operated at high idle during this check.

    1. Raise the work tool from the ground. Position the work tool in a perpendicular position with the ground. Refer to Illustration 1.

    1. Note the starting position of the work tool and rotate the work tool in one direction. Record the number of rotations that are completed in 1 minute.

      Table 1
      Cycle Time
Sales Model     Revolutions Per Minute (RPM)
      VRG-20/2     11
      VRG-25/2     11
      VRG-30/2     9

    1. If the rpm are within the specification, the work tool is rotating properly. If the rpm are not within the specification, check the oil flow and the oil pressure of the host machine. Refer to the Service Manual, "Host Machine Pressure and Flow - Test".

    1. If an adjustment was made to the host machine, repeat the check. If an adjustment for the host machine was not necessary, proceed to the next step.

    1. If the rpm are not within the specification, check the oil flow of the hydraulic rotator. Refer to Service Manual, "Hydraulic Rotator Oil Flow - Test".
