NOTE: |
This Revised Service Letter replaces the 17Sep2015 Service Letter. Changes have been made to the Action Required and Service Claim Allowances to include additional left hand engine side door latch rework in the Dealer facility before field installation. |
The existing engine side door latch may fail on certain 305.5E, 306E, and 306E2 Mini Excavators. If the existing door latch is unable to latch properly, replaced it with an improved latch and striker. |

In order to allow equitable parts availability to all participating dealers, please limit your initial parts order to not exceed 32% of dealership population. This is an initial order recommendation only, and the ultimate responsibility for ordering the total number of parts needed to satisfy the program lies with the dealer.
|
Refer to the SEPD2056, Service Magazine, "Improved Engine Side Door Latch and Striker are Now Used on Certain 305.5E, 306E, and 306E2 Mini Hydraulic Excavators", for the engine side door field rework, installation, and the alternative method for the left hand latch rework in the Dealer facility before field installation. |
