The problem that is identified below does not have a known permanent solution. Until a permanent solution is known, use the solution that is identified below.
Problem
Product Link (PL) web radio firmware part number is not updated correctly in Equipment Details Page (EDP). In PL web, users noticed that the radio firmware part number is not updating correctly in EDP. After updating the radio firmware to 2017B the back office gets confused in the update process. While the information is available in the Electronic Control Module (ECM) the Network Manager will be updated, but the radio will not be updated with the correct part number.
Solution
Caterpillar is aware of this problem and the issue will be addressed in the next back-office software update expected to release by May 2018.
