Use any one of the following torque values to secure the nut:

Torque to 5.5 ± 0.5 N·m (48.7 ± 4.4 lb in), if mounted in glass.
Or
Torque to 9 ± 1 N·m (80 ± 9 lb in), if mounted in steel. 
Use the following procedure to install the wiper arm:

1. Tighten the nut to 21 ± 1 N·m (186 ± 9 lb in).
2. Wait for minimum 0.5 hours to maximum 4 hours.
3. Again, tighten the nut to 21 ± 1 N·m (186 ± 9 lb in).
Ensure that the minimum field torque is 12 N·m (106 lb in)
Use any one of the following torque values to secure the nut:

Torque to 6.5 ± 0.5 N·m (57.5 ± 4.4 lb in), if mounted in glass.
Or
Torque to 7.5 ± 0.5 N·m (66.4 ± 4.4 lb in), if mounted in steel.
