SUBJECT: Spartan Chassis Vehicle Speed Calibration Issue on C7 Engines

PROBLEM:

Spartan Chassis has programmed several chassis with the incorrect vehicle speed calibration. The incorrect chassis were sold to Fleetwood for RV applications. Letters have been sent to the customers. The letter instructs the customers to take their RV coach to an authorized Caterpillar dealer.

SOLUTION:

All chassis are being corrected. The correct vehicle speed calibration should be 2674 ppm. The calibration value should be entered into the Vehicle Speed Cal (J1939-Trans).

All labor involved with the fix should be sent to Spartan Motors. Spartan Motors does not require authorization for reimbursement. Spartan Motors will pay for one hour of labor. If additional work is required submit the additional labor to Spartan Motors.

Spartan Motors will pay the claims within thirty days of receiving the claim. All billing statements should include the following items.
