Description of Change: A new separate circuit water pump is now used for the machines listed above. The new water pump incorporates improved tolerances between the pump shaft and the impeller, and the shaft is induction hardened.
The changes will increase the torque to turn ratio and will better handle the torsional forces at the shaft and impeller joint.
Adaptable To: The new 432-0070 Water Pump Gp replaces the former 311-8409 Water Pump Gp. The new water pump group is adaptable back to first production for the D7RII Track-Type Tractors and 572RII Pipelayers.
The new 432-5457 Water Pump Gp replaces the former 311-8410 Water Pump Gp. The new water pump group is adaptable back to first production on the D8RII Track-Type Tractors.
The new 432-0070 Water Pump Gp is effective with the engine serial numbers that are listed in Table 1.
