Usage:
Hot oil and components can cause personal injury. Do not allow hot oil or components to contact the skin. Be sure that the engine and components are cool enough to touch with your bare hand prior to performing any service work. |
1. Drain the engine oil into a suitable container for disposal. Remove fourteen bolts (1), the washers, isolators, and isolator sleeves. Remove oil pan (2) and the oil pan gasket.
NOTE: The following steps are for the installation of the oil pan.
2. Clean the mating surface of the oil pan and cylinder block.
3. Put the oil pan gasket and oil pan (2) in position on the cylinder block. Install the fourteen isolator sleeves, isolators, washers and bolts (1) that hold it. Tighten the bolts evenly.
4. Fill the engine with oil to the correct level. See the Operation & Maintenance Manual for the correct filling procedure.
