Start By:

a. remove valves

1. Remove the bases from the valve guides.

2. Use tooling (a), and remove the valve guides from the cylinder head.

NOTE: The following step is for the installation of the valve guides.

3. Position the valve guide, and carefully tap on it to start it into the cylinder head. Using tooling (A) to install the valve guides. Install the valve guides until they protrude 22.00 ± 0.50 mm (.866 ± .020 in) above the cylinder head. Measure the distance from the cylinder head to the step in on the valve guide as shown.

4. Install the bases over the valve guides.
