6V4960 AC Current Probe Will Measure Current Easier

Usage:

The 6V4960 AC Current Probe is made to be used with the 6V3030 Digital Multimeter. This clamp-on probe replaces standard test leads to the multimeter allowing current measurements to be made without breaking the circuit being measured. The probe extends the AC current measuring ability of the multimeter up to 1000 Amperes rms by use of a 1000:1 current transformer. Conductors up to 54 mm (2.125") diameter can be measured with the probe.

The current probe comes with the 6V6014 Cable, but the cable can also be ordered separately.

The 6V4960 AC Current probe together with the 6V3030 Digital Multimeter can be used to measure AC current on Caterpillar generator sets and in service shops.

The 6V3072 Carrying Case, 6V6040 Foam Insert, Decal ("Electrical Test Kit," SEHS8029) are also available. The convenient carrying case will hold the 6V3030 Digital Multimeter and the current probe.

See Special Instruction, Form SEHS8011, for more information on how to use the current probe.
