Coolant leakage can be a problem on 6.25" bore engines when the 5P8607, 5P8664 and 6V2111 Inserts for cylinder liner seats are installed. Use of a new installation method and new liner seat inserts can stop this coolant leakage. This method uses new 1W6265, 1W6266, and 1W6267 Inserts, water ferrules, seals and a new installation procedure.
Tools for installation of inserts.
Special Instruction Form SMHS7221-01 has information about the new procedure. Special Instruction Form SMHS7982 is for the installation of the new water ferrules. Dealers must destroy all old instructions about this procedure.
