6V4133 Wedge Bracket Makes Cylinder Liner Removal Easier

Usage:

3500 Series Engines, All 5.75"
Bore And 6.25"
Bore Engines

When a 5P8665 Cylinder Liner Puller is used to remove liners in 3500 Series Engines, the puller feet can loosen their grip on the lower edge of the liner. The 6V4133 Wedge Bracket (Illustration 1) is now available to keep the puller feet in a rigid position during this operation.

The bracket also makes it easier to remove cylinder liners from 5.75" Bore and 6.25" Bore Engines when these engines are on their sides during disassembly procedures.

Use the puller's existing detent pin to fasten the bracket to one leg of the puller and put the puller in place inside the liner. The bracket can then be moved to engage the detent pin on the other leg. Illustration 2 shows the correct detent pin location for removal of a 3500 Series Engine cylinder liner.
