New Relief Valve Guide Used In Oil Pump
Usage:
All 3208 Truck Engines
Description of Change: A new relief valve guide is used in the oil pump group on 3208 Engines. The new relief valve guide is the same hardness as the plunger and has a different hole pattern than the former relief valve guide.
The former relief valve guide has in some applications, worn a step in the guide. This step can limit the movement of the relief valve plunger and possibly cause high oil pressure.
Adaptable As: The new 7W239 Relief Valve Guide is a direct replacement for the former 2W4110 or 1W1789 Relief Valve Guides. The new valve guide is in effect as shown in the chart.
