Usage:
Challenger 65 Tractors 7YC1-1451 With Performance Monitor
The studs used for electrical connections on the 9W3075 Fuel Level Sensor in the right rear fuel tank are too long. This can cause them to come into contact with the tank/fender guard which can cause a short circuit between sensor power and ground. Fuel level, oil pressure, and coolant temperature all use the same power source from the monitor panel. Therefore, all three circuits can give intermittent indications when the short circuit occurs. The intermittent condition occurs most frequently when the tractor is operating on a side slope or when someone walks on the right side fuel tank. When the short circuit occurs, the Performance Monitor may flash "Errl" or "Err2" or "Err4" or all of the above.
This problem can be corrected by removing 3 mm (.1") from the end of each sensor stud. This problem was corrected at the factory effective with Challenger 65 Tractor 7YC1452.
