Dynamic Retarder Pedal/Service Brake

Dynamic Retarder Pedal - During normal operation, depress the dynamic retarder pedal to slow the machine down to 3 km/h (2 mph). The service brakes will automatically apply to stop the machine.

The dual function retarding pedal and service brake is located in the cab in front of the operator seat (see arrow). When the pedal is pressed up to 80 percent of full compression, the retarding function is engaged. When the pedal is depressed by more than 80 percent of full compression, the service brake is engaged. If the truck is traveling at a speed of less than 16 km/h (10 mph), the pedal operates as a service brake, over the entire range of compression.

Priority Valve and Manifold (Blower Fan, Final Drive Lubrication, and Steering)
