CS-531D, CP-533D and CS-533D Vibratory Compactors Caterpillar


Engine Governor Oil Supply Screen - Clean/Inspect/Replace

  • Open the engine compartment.

    1. Place a suitable container under the oil supply tube. Remove the oil supply tube (1) from the cylinder head.

    1. Remove the fitting (3) and the seal (2) from the governor housing.

    1. Use a 6 mm hexagon wrench in order to remove the screen (4).

    1. Wash the screen (4) in solvent in order to remove any debris.

    1. Inspect the screen (4) for damage. Replace damaged parts.

    1. Install the screen (4). Allow clearance for the fitting (3) .

    1. Install the seal (2). Install the fitting (3). Install the oil supply tube (1) .

      Note: Dispose of the fluids in an appropriate manner.

    1. Close the engine compartment.
