Winch Brake Accumulator - Remove and Install

Usage:

583R 2XS

Removal Procedure

------ WARNING! ------

Hot oil and components can cause personal injury.

Do not allow hot oil or components to contact skin.

----------------------

Note: Put identification marks on all lines, on all hoses, on all wires, and on all tubes for installation purposes. Plug all lines, hoses, and tubes. This helps to prevent fluid loss and this helps to keep contaminants from entering the system.

  1. Carefully lower the hook to the ground.

    Note: There must not be any tension on the cable.

  1. Stop the engine. Move the hook control lever to the SLOW RAISE position. Hold the control lever in this position for one minute in order to discharge the oil from the brake accumulator.

  1. Disconnect tube assembly (1) and the O-ring from accumulator (2) .

  1. Remove nuts (3) and the washers.

  1. Remove bracket (4) .

  1. Remove the accumulator.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install accumulator (2) and bracket (4) .

  1. Install nuts (3) and the washers.

  1. Connect tube assembly (1) to the accumulator.
