Engine Trunnion - Remove and Install

Usage:

769D 5SS

Removal Procedure

Start By:

  1. Remove the engine front support. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Engine Front Support - Remove".

  1. Remove bolts (1) and the washers from engine trunnion (2). Remove engine trunnion (2) from the timing gear housing.

  2. Inspect mount assembly (3) and support adapter (4). Replace mount assembly (3) if mount assembly (3) is worn or damaged.

Installation Procedure

  1. Verify that all of the components of the engine trunnion are clean and free of foreign material prior to installation.

  2. Inspect all components for wear and replace the components, if necessary.

  3. If mount assembly (3) was replaced, verify that the holes in mount assembly (3) are centered over the holes on support adapter (4).

  4. Install engine trunnion (2) to the timing gear housing. Install bolts (1) and the washers to engine trunnion (2).

End By:

  1. Install the engine front support. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Engine Front Support - Install".
