1. Install the 8S7164 Wear Sleeve Puller Group and remove the wear sleeve.

REMOVING WEAR SLEEVE

Install Crankshaft Wear Sleeve

1. Place the wear sleeve between the end of the crankshaft and the pilot (2) from the 8S5135 Rear Seal Tool Group. Be sure the lead chamfer for the seal on the wear sleeve is toward the flywheel end of the crankshaft.

2. Tighten the pilot retaining bolts (1) evenly (approximately one half turn at a time). When installed, the wear sleeve will be flush with the end of the crankshaft and the pilot will be solid against the end of crankshaft.
