NOTE: | This Program must be administered either before or after failure. In either case the decision whether to apply the Program is made by the dealer. When reporting the repair, use "PS46026" as the Part Number and "7755" as the Group Number. If administered before failure, use "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and "T" as the SIMS Description code. If administered after failure, use "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMS Description Code. |

PROBLEM
The existing cylinder heads can develop oil leaks on certain 773E Off-Highway Trucks with certain 3412E Engines due to incorrect Loctite application at time of engine build. If the existing cylinder heads develop oil leaks it can cause unplanned downtime. |

ACTION REQUIRED
Rework the following engines in dealer parts and/or dealer exchange inventory: |
For engines less than 3,000 hours, Caterpillar recommends the reseal both cylinder heads on the engine to prevent the risk of oil leaks. Reference Disassembly and Assembly Manual, RENR2336 for removal and installation instructions. 1.) Drain coolant level to below cylinder head level 2.) Remove cylinder heads from each bank of the engine. 3.) Clean Loctite from the head to block joint. Reference Image 1 showing incorrect Loctite application. No Loctite should be applied. Remove and clean. 4.) Replace the cylinder heads. 5.) Refill the coolant. |

SERVICE CLAIM ALLOWANCES
Submit one claim for all engines reworked in dealer parts and/or dealer exchange inventory. Include each engine serial number was reworked in the claim story. 14 hours are allowed for each engine reworked in dealer parts and/or dealer exchange inventory. The parts (except engine coolant) listed in the Parts Needed are allowed for each engine reworked in dealer parts and/or dealer exchange inventory. |
