Obtain the service reps Goodwill Approver Code before completing the repair. EAME dealers should use their standard Industry Group specific goodwill approval codes. The Goodwill Approver Code must be included when submitting the claim. |

PROBLEM
The single fork swing frame and taper pin arrangement has failed on certain 424 and 424 II Backhoe Loaders. The single fork swing frame can be changed to a durable double fork arrangement for Backhoe Loaders built in India. This program is being launched to support dealers to refurbish the old swing/slide frames with the new arrangement of frames kit. ? This is being done to improve the customer acceptance of the product and help them improve the machine residual value. ? Dealers must use this with proper judgment and ensure that this is only a drive to win the lost customers and use them for gaining sales and customer loyalty. ? Dealers should explain the customer on the intent of program and the actual participation that we are offering, so that they understand that this is not a free campaign. |

ACTION REQUIRED
Replace the failed swing and fabricated slider frame with a new casted 440-2810 Slide and Swing Kit. SCOPE: This letter is indented to create a discounted program to cover machines which are prior to JRC03651 and out of warranty machines (JRB00255 to JRB00999 and JRC01000 to JRC3650). The customer can order a retrofit slide and swing kit from the dealer for easy replacement. The part needed to be ordered by the customer is the 440-2810 Slide and Swing Kit. This kit will be available at Cat dealers at a discounted price of 1,25,000 INR+ Local Tax to the customer. Applicability: ? Applicable only for machines out of warranty. ? Total number of machines covered is 200 (Gmmco 100 and TIPL 100). ? This quantity has to be distributed to all 4 TDs appropriately as needed by each principal dealer. ? Program to be effectively used to bring back out old customers to our fold. Labor: Dealers to take care on labor charges as "Free Of Cost" basis. Warranty: ? Replaced parts would carry typical Parts warranty guidelines against manufacturing, workmanship, and assembly defects. Commercial Procedure: ? Dealer shall complete the work based on proper judgment and process and claim under Parts Support Program code. ? Dealer can claim the amount in Dealer Net base only. ? Gmmco/TIPL to procure the retrofit kit from CIPL, IDC only. Other Terms and Conditions: Caterpillar India Private Limited reserves the rights (i) to recover from dealers any discounts granted under this program where the terms and conditions of this program are not fulfilled and (ii) to modify or cancel any portion of this support program at any time. Validity: This discounted price is only valid for the customer who chooses to buy the retrofit kit on or before 31-October-2014. Dealers to lodge the claim before 30Nov2014.
