Current pull-in windings at 5 V ... 8.4 to 9.5 A

Current pull-in windings at 10 to 12 V ... 16.8 to 22.8 A

Current hold-in windings at 10 to 12 V ... 1 A

(1) Torque for terminal nuts ... 14 ± 3 lb.in.(2 ± 0.3 N·m)

(2) Distance between shaft and plate:*

5L8982 or 3N548 Shaft ... .70 in.(17.8 mm)

7L5189 Shaft ... 1.25 in.(31.75 mm)

(3) Distance of plunger travel [start with dimension of .44 in. (11.2 mm) at (4)] ... .62 in.(15.7 mm)


*On engine a test can show need for more adjustment. Hold in test on engine must take less than 2 A.

2N2385 24 V or 32 V (Delco-Remy Number 1115524)

Current pull-in windings at 9 V ... 5.5 to 6.3 A

Current pull-in windings at 20 to 24 V ... 12.2 to 16.8 A

Current hold-in windings at 20 to 24 V ... .45 A
