Usage:
24H (7KK) Motor Graders
Use the following procedure when installing the windshield on 24H (7KK) Motor Graders.
Parts Needed
8X-8967 Cab Panel Group (Tinted Window) (not serviced) parts identification.
1. Brush soapy water along edge, top and bottom of 119-0782 Glass (1).
2. Apply 117-3169 Windshield Film (8) to inside of 119-0782 Glass (1), if required.
3. Assemble 122-8341 Seal (2) to glass, stretching seal around corners. Use Loctite 454® adhesive or equivalent to bond seal ends at bottom of window.
4. Brush soapy water along edge,top and bottom of 122-8341 Seal (2).
5. Assemble seal and glass assembly to cab.
6. Assemble 137-1283 Retainer (5) to cab with 8T-4137 Bolts (7) and 8T-4121 Washers (6). Leave a 3 mm (.12 in) gap between the washers and retainer.
7. Assemble 137-1284 Retainer (3) to cab with 8T-4137 Bolts (7) and 8T-4121 Washers (6). Leave a 3 mm (.12 in) gap between the washers and retainer.
8. Assemble 137-1282 Retainers (4) to cab with 8T-4137 Bolts (7) and 8T-4121 Washers (6). Leave a 3 mm (.12 in) gap between the washers and retainer.
NOTE: Apply 9S-3263 Thread Lock or 4C-4030 Thread Lock or equivalent along length of bolt thread prior to installation and torque.
9. Starting at Point D, gradually tighten 8T-4137 Bolts (8). Tighten to a torque of 25 ± 5 N·m (18 ± 4 lb ft). Proceed in a clockwise direction.
