Usage:
Introduction
This Special Instruction contains charts which list the part numbers, reconditioning dimensions and their applicable models for the following items:
- * Track Links
- * Front Idlers
- * Track Rollers
- * Track Carrier Rollers
- * Elevator Chain Carrier Rollers
- * Front Idlers
Also included is a chart listing the clearance dimensions between various track links and rollers; and charts listing the bearing bore diameters for idlers and track rollers.
NOTE: Dimension (J) in the following charts is a wear dimension where the component is worn to the service limit (100% worn). Beyond this point a rebuild cannot normally be successfull.

Drill a 6.4 mm (0.25") Ø hole in the side of drum-type idlers to prevent pressure inside the idler during welding. Plug weld the hole after the idler becomes cool. |

Track Link and Roller Clearance
The following chart shows clearance dimension (X) when track links and rollers are new. A combination of roller and link wear can cause interference between link boss (1) and roller flange (2). See PEKP9400 Custom Track Service Handbook for the correct method to measure this dimension.
