When reporting the repair, use "PS5493" as the Part Number and "7755" as the Group Number. Use "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.

The air inlet restriction value shown on the 155-8653 EMSII LCD display may not be correct. Instead of the correct value, a repeating numerical sequence may be displayed. To correct this problem, a new 165-4099 EMSII module has been released. Air inlet restriction is displayed on the EMSII LCD Display when the EMSII Module is placed in Numeric Readout Mode (Mode 1) and scrolled to Gauge 6.

Action Required
1. Turn the ECS switch to the OFF/RESET position. Disconnect the engine harness from the EMS-II module.
2. Remove the old module.
3. Apply film to the face of the new EMS-II Module and install.
4. Re-connect the harness to the new EMS-II Module.
5. Turn the ECS switch to the COOLDOWN/STOP position. Make sure the EMS-II module and Gauge Cluster Modules successfully complete the self test.
6. Set the EMS-II module units to English or Metric. To do this enter the units mode (Mode 4) by holding down the CLEAR/MODE switch until "-4-" appears in the LCD. When the module enters the units mode the current setting will be displayed. "US" represents English units and "SI" represents Metric units. Use the "SCROLL" switch to toggle the units between "US" and "SI."
7. Verify operation of the new EMS-II module.
