NOTE: This Program can be administered either before or after a failure. In either case the decision whether to apply the Program is made by the dealer. When reporting the repair, use "PS4042" as the Part Number and "7755" as the Group Number. If administered before failure, use "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use "T" as the SIMS Description Code. If administered after failure, use "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.

Cracks may develop in the upper compensating cylinder mounting brackets at the rear of the boom in certain TH82 Telehandlers. These cracks may appear on either the front or rear of the mounting bracket and need to be repaired.

1. Inspect the compensating cylinder mounting brackets for any cracks.
2. Repair and add ram brackets per attached Rework Procedure.

Rework Procedure
1. Inspect for cracks in channel section (1) as shown in Illustration 1.
2. Grind a groove in the cracked area, as shown in Illustration 1, Detail B. Dimension 3 is 60 degrees.
3. The area around the radius in channel sides must be ground smooth.
NOTE: Ensure the area prepared for welding is free of all contaminants (i.e. dirt, dust, oil, paint and grease) before welding.
4. Weld the above repared area using either manual or MIG welding.

5. The welded area should be ground flush with the mating surfaces.
