Core Acceptance Core Acceptance Criteria for Caterpillar Remanufactured starters and alternators is simple, visual, and requires no special tools. Full core credit is issued when the core is complete, fully assembled, and has an acceptable part number. Partial credit is available for damaged cores. Competitive starters and alternators that are interchangeable with Cat starters and alternators are eligible for full or partial core credit. Consult your Core Acceptance Guide for complete details.
