A soot filter is available for use with the above engines. The soot filter acts as a precleaner and extends the service life of the primary air filter.
A soot filter is recommended in severe applications when short air filter life is experienced. Make reference to this article in the appropriate parts books.
Soot filters are recommended for use as shown in the chart.
