MID 039 - Machine Control Module
CID 3725 - Autonomous Control Module #2
FMI 14 - Special Instruction
This diagnostic code is recorded when the Autonomous Control Module (Auto ECM) #2 has a different configuration from Autonomous Control Module (Auto ECM) #1. Autonomous Control Module #1 is considered to have the correct configuration, so if the corresponding diagnostic for Autonomous Control Modules #2 is active then perform the following troubleshooting on Autonomous Control Module #1 instead of the one referred to in the troubleshooting steps.
Test Step 1. VERIFY THE SOFTWARE VERSIONS ON THE AUTO ECM.
- Use the OCS laptop version report to determine if the correct software files are installed.
Results:
- OK - Correct software versions are installed. Proceed to Test Step 2.
- NOT OK - The correct software versions are not installed.
Repair: Use Cat® Electronic Technician (Cat ET) and WinFlash to install the correct software versions.

Test Step 2. SET THE SCENARIO TO PRODUCTION.
- Use an OCS laptop and enter production mode.
Results:
- OK - The diagnostic is NOT active or present.

- NOT OK - The diagnostic is still active or present. Proceed to Test Step 3.
Test Step 3. RECONFIGURE THE AUTO ECM.
- Use the OCS laptop to configure the Auto ECM. Refer to Special Instruction, REHS7346, "Cat® Command for Hauling - 793F CMD Onboard Autonomy and Configuration Guide" - Auto ECM (A5N6) Commissioning (Single A5N6 Replacement).
Results:
- OK - The diagnostic is NOT active or present.
STOP
- NOT OK - The diagnostic is still active or present. Proceed to Test Step 4.
Test Step 4.
