New Aftercooler Core Has Stronger Construction And Corrosion Resistance
Usage:
3408 Marine Engines, and Industrial Engines so Equipped
Description of Change: A new aftercooler core assembly is used on 3408 Marine Engines, and Industrial Engines so equipped. The new core is a plate-fin construction in comparison with the former core which was a tube-fin construction. The new design is stronger to prevent possible cracks at the header and wear of the tubes caused by contact with the side plates. Also, the new core has a coating (layer) of epoxy paint for corrosion resistance.
Adaptable As: The new 8N6839 Core Assembly is a direct replacement for the former 6N682 Core Assembly, which is canceled.
