Improved Air Inlet Heater Relays Are Now Used On Certain C7 and C9 Industrial Engines {1090, 1408}

Description of Change: The more robust air inlet heater relays withstand high vibration over longer periods of time when compared to the present air inlet heater relays.
Adaptable To: The improved air inlet heater relays are direct replacements for the present air inlet heater relays.
Refer to Special Instruction, REHS8167, "Air Inlet Heater Wiring Group Replacement for Certain C7 and C9 Industrial Engines" for the procedure to replace the present air inlet heater relay on the specific engine under scrutiny.
The new air inlet heater relays are adaptable back to the first production of the listed engines. The change is effective at the factory with the engine serial numbers that are listed in the table.
