SR4 发电机可以实现在高湿度环境条件下无故障运行。 湿度可以高达 100% 非冷凝湿度。 但是当发电机怠速和在周围空气温度比发电机高时就会产生问题。 湿气会凝结在绕组上。 湿气将导致性能降低乃至损坏绕组。 发电机不工作时，应运转选装的空间加热器。
空间加热器的工作需要使用外部电源。 两种电源都必须是单相的。 电源可以为 115 vac 或 230 vac。 外部电源为 50 Hz 时，必须使用 200 vac。 请参阅插图 1。
