Radiator - Assemble - Air to Air Charge Cooler

Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, all parts should be thoroughly cleaned in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause later trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.
- Install new seals (11) from Tooling (B) to cores (8).
- Install seals (9) from Tooling (C) to side tank (12). Use Tooling (A) in order to lubricate seals (9).
- Install seals (10) from Tooling (C) to side tank (7). Use Tooling (A) in order to lubricate seals (10).
- Install radiator cores (8) to air to air charge cooler radiator (3).
- Install side tank (7) to air to air charge cooler radiator (3).

Illustration 2 g01711694 - Loosely install bolts and new locking nuts (1). Loosely install bolts and locking nuts (4).
- Install support brackets (6) to air to air charge cooler radiator (3).
- Loosely install bolts and new locking nuts (2) (not shown). Loosely install bolts and new locking nuts (5).
- Tighten bolts and locking nuts (1) and then tighten bolts and locking nuts (4) to a torque of
22 N·m (16 lb ft) .Note: The side tanks should be square to the radiator assembly on tightening of the bolts and locking nuts.
- Tighten bolts and locking nuts (2) and then tighten bolts and locking nuts (5) to a torque of
22 N·m (16 lb ft) for support brackets (6) for the air to air charge cooler radiator (3).
