- Install plug (G) and O-ring (H) in removed line (1). Install plug (G) and O-ring (H) in removed line (4) .
- Install cap (F) on fitting (3) .
- Connect pressure gauge (A) to fitting (2) by using tools (B), (C), (D), and (E). Use this pressure gauge to monitor the pressure reducing valve setting of the parking brake for the left travel motor.
- Place a track block (6) in sprocket (5) in order to block forward left travel. Refer to Illustration 2.

Sprocket (left track) (5) Sprocket (6) Track block |
- Start the engine.
- Place the machine controls at the following settings: engine speed dial "10" and AEC switch OFF.
- Increase the hydraulic oil temperature to 55° ± 5°C (131° ± 9°F).
- Slowly move the left travel control lever to full FORWARD position and check the pressure setting of the pressure reducing valve for the left travel motor. The pressure setting of pressure reducing valve (9) should be 6000 kPa (875 psi).

Pressure reducing valve (parking brake) (7) Adjustment screw (8) Locknut (9) Pressure reducing valve |
- Return the left travel control lever to the NEUTRAL position.
- In order to adjust pressure reducing valve (9), loosen locknut (8) and turn adjustment screw (7) until the pressure setting at the pressure reducing valve for the left travel motor is 6000 kPa (875 psi).
Note: Turn adjustment screw (7) clockwise in order to increase the pressure. Turn adjustment screw (7) counterclockwise in order to decrease the pressure.
Note: Always make final pressure adjustment on pressure rise.
- Tighten locknut (8) .
- Stop the engine.
- Remove track block (6) from sprocket (5) .
- Remove the plugs in line (1) and line (4) .
- Remove the pressure gauge and test fittings from fitting (2). Remove the cap from fitting (3) .
- Reinstall line (1) onto fitting (2). Reinstall line (4) onto fitting (3) .
Note: In order to adjust the pressure reducing valve on the right travel motor, place stopper (6) in the sprocket for right travel. Install the pressure gauge and test fittings to the right travel motor in the same manner as the left travel motor in order to monitor the pressure reducing valve setting for the right travel motor. Adjust the pressure reducing valve on the right travel motor in the same manner as the adjustment for the left travel motor.
