Controls Cabinet Thermistor Wire Connections |
The thermistor that is located between the two Power Supply Boards is used to measure temperature in the vicinity of the Power Supply Boards.
The thermistor is connected to the Control Cabinet General Purpose Interface Board that is located on the left panel of the cabinet.
Signals from the thermistor are digitized by the General Purpose Interface Board and sent to the APC2 Board.
Removal
- Perform steps in the Systems Operation, Testing and Adjusting, "Internal Component Preremoval Steps (Controls Cabinet)" in order to de-energize the system and gain access to internal components.
- Unscrew the thermistor from the bracket connected to the rear panel.
- Cut the tie wraps holding the thermistor harness to other cabling in the cabinet all the way back to the General Purpose Interface Board.
- Detach the thermistor harness connector from the General Purpose Interface Board J3 connector.
Installation
- Attach the thermistor to the bracket that is located between the Power Supply Boards.
- Attach tie wraps to the cables in order to ensure that the cables are fastened to the General Purpose Interface Board.
- Attach the end of the thermistor harness to the J3 connector on the General Purpose Interface Board that is located on the left panel.
