Exception: If the repair is done after failure, use "PI32477" as the Part Number, "7751" as the Group Number, "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.

The 286-6441 Hose Assembly needs to be replaced on certain 313D CR Excavators. The existing 320-0050 Connector Assembly of the 286-6441 Hose Assembly may crack and it will cause oil to leak.

This is an initial order recommendation only, and the ultimate responsibility for ordering the total number of parts needed to satisfy the program lies with the dealer.

Replace the existing 286-6441 Hose Assembly with a new 480-4332 Hose Assembly. Refer to the following Rework Procedure.

The 480-4332 Hose Assembly will be supplied to you later from Akashi facility, so you do not need order the hose.

1. Park the machine on a hard, level surface. Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual and ground the bucket/tool. Please ensure that all residual pressure is removed.

2. Remove the covers located around the main control valve room. This will allow for easier rework. Remove the hose support. Refer to Image1.

3. Apply marking along the existing cable straps onto the other hose which is tied with the existing 286-6441 Hose Assembly. After marking has been applied, then cut the existing cable straps. Refer to Image2.

4. Remove the 286-6411 Hose Assembly and the 320-0050 Connector Assembly.

5. Install the new 152-9254 Connector with the 7M-8485 O-ring Seal onto the valve. Tighten to a specified torque of 350 +/- 53 N.m. Refer to Image3.

6. Install the new 480-4332 Hose Assembly and the 6V-9746 O-ring Seal to the boss side of Hose Assembly. Tighten to a specified torque of 160 +/- 16 N.m. The hose setting angle should be set to 45 degrees. Refer to Image3 and 4.

7. Tie the 480-4332 Hose Assembly and other hoses using five 5P-5148 Cable Straps. Tie the cable straps according to the markings that were added in Step 2. Refer to Image5.
