Control Console For CPS361 Pumper, Cement Caterpillar

Battery Disconnect

Usage:

3176C 5DZ
The battery disconnect enclosure contains a switch that disconnects the battery power from the control system for the CPS361 Cement Pumper. The battery disconnect enclosure is located underneath the control console by the access ladder on the operator's platform.

The operator can disconnect the battery power by placing the "Main Power Disconnect Switch" in the OFF position. The memory of the engine ECM will be erased when the battery power is disconnected. The faults that were logged will be lost. Data that was programmed for the customer will still be saved. If the faults that are logged are needed for engine service, battery power should not be disconnected.

------ WARNING! ------

The CPS361 Cement Pumper can be located where the air is contaminated with sufficient quantities of volatile gases to create an ignition hazard. The air purge system is designed to remove these gases from the electronic enclosures to eliminate the risk of a spark causing an unexpected ignition. The air purge sequence takes 7 minutes to complete. Therefore, the CPS361 Cement Pumper should not be activated until the air purge system has been operational without fault for 7 minutes.
