Problem
The alternator diode may be fitted incorrectly or missing from the machines listed above.
Solution
Caterpillar is aware of this problem, but a solution has not yet been defined. If this issue occurs, replace parts with the same part number. Take a picture of the failure before repairing and attach to the claim story.
