New Monitor Software for Health Interface Module Is Now Available on Certain Cat® Products {7490, 7605, 7610, 7620}

New monitor software v2.0.4 for health interface module is now available on certain Cat^® products equipped with VIMS ABL. The new software has the following improvements:

Provided password protected user interface which can be accessed from popular web browsers.
Improved machine parameters and alarms monitoring through web interface.
Improved device monitoring and troubleshooting utilities through web interface.
Supported Trimble Controller Area Network (CAN) based Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) receivers (MS352 and MS952).
Updated to upload an application file to GNSS receivers efficiently (without an external utility tool from the OEM).
Updated health interface module to report proper location when no GNSS receiver is detected.
Updated to prevent VIMS data logger files corrupting when downloaded from health interface module over a CAN connection. This will limit data loggers to a length of only 15 minutes when health interface module is connected over CAN connection which may or may not be shorter than a cycle time. Efforts are in place to make changes to VIMSpc to allow grouping of these 15 minute data loggers so that sites with cycles longer than 15 minutes will be able to link back together the consecutive data loggers. Plans for this effort are incomplete, but target is mid year 2017.
Updated new default settings for "VIMS Data logger Triggers" web page to have all settings unchecked.
Improved file transfer when the machine goes out of network coverage area.
Updated VIMSpc to display data logger file efficiently which is downloaded by health interface module from VIMS ABL over a CAN connection.
Updated health interface module to timestamp VIMS files names with local time when a GNSS or Cat^® MineStar System server is connected.
Improved ability to schedule data file downloads to a remote server such as:

- Data Logger

- Events

- Snapshot

- Payload

- Trends

- Cumulative

- Histogram

New Software Part Numbers

The new software part numbers for upgrading to latest v2.0.4 are listed in Table 1. The software files are available for download on Service Information System (SIS) web.

Note: For new installations, it is recommended to install health interface module serial option kit as new health interface module CAN option kits are not commercially available anymore.
