Description Of Change: New bolts and spacers are now used to mount the transmission control manifold on certain K and K 2 series Motor Graders. The new bolts and spacers provide improved torque retention and ensure proper manifold sealing to the transmission.

Adaptable To: For part and installation information, see "Rework Procedure" below.

The new 8T-7329 Bolts and 503-6251 Spacers are adaptable to all machines within the listed serial numbers.

The new bolts and spacers are effective in production on all machines after the listed serial numbers.

Rework Procedure

Required Parts
Item  Qty.  Part Number  Part Name
1(1)  2P-1692  O-Ring Seal
2(1)  6D-0692  O-Ring Seal
12  8T-7329  Bolt
12  503-6251  Spacer
5(1)  423-6535  Solenoid Valve Gp
(1) Replace as needed.

Note: For this procedure, the assumption is made that the control manifold is already removed from the transmission and part locations were noted prior to removal.

  5. Install the main relief valve.

    Torque main relief valve mounting bolts to 30 ± 4 N·m (22 ± 3 lb ft).

  6. Install the solenoid valves (5) into the original locations. Inspect and lubricate the O-ring seals before assembly. Transmission oil may be used as lubricant.

Note: Contamination from any debris in the transmission oil is cause for solenoid valve replacement.

    Torque solenoid bolts to 3.7 ± 0.8 N·m (33 ± 7 lb in).
