Reman has introduced two different types of blocks: Type 1 and Type II. All Type 1 blocks provided are converted to Type II except for the oil gallery inlet port, which has a different bolt pattern than Type II, requiring a different oil tube and adapter. These parts are not included with the short block. Therefore these parts will need replaced if a different block type is received than the one being replaced.

Inspect the adapter bolt pattern on block received to determine type of block and to order parts. Type 1 has an asymmetrical bolt pattern and Type II has a square bolt pattern.

The Reman short block part numbers are listed in Table 1.
